At Salem Ford, we love reading stories about new technology, and we love when a vehicle in our inventory gets the recognition we believe they deserve. So, when we read news regarding the F-150 and the Consumer Electronics Show, we knew it was something we had to share with you.
One of the exciting new features of the 2016 F-150 is "Pro Trailer Backup Assist", which allows the user to program up to ten trailers into the system's memory. With the turn of a knob on the dash, the truck does all the work of steering, accelerating, and braking. Judges from the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) were impressed enough to name it the top 2016 "Best of Innovation" honoree in the Vehicle Intelligence Category.
Raj Nair, Ford Group Vice President Global Product Development and Chief Technical Officer , expressed his enthusiasm for the award, asserting that the new technology is "another example of Ford leveraging new technology to make every-day driving tasks easier.”
