Are you a "severe" driver? You might be, and not even know it!

What the heck is a "severe" driver? It's not as bad as it sounds. Basically, your driving may be considered severe if you do a lot of driving in dusty or muddy conditions, if you drive in mountainous terrain, or if you drive at prolonged higher engine speeds. Your driving may also be classified as severe if you drive in stop-and-go traffic, or drive in extreme temperatures.

So what do you need to do? A vehicle maintenance checklist is in order and your car will require more maintenance checkups to make sure that it is performing optimally. If you don't, you can actually void your claim coverage. A simple pre-check is also a good idea-simply check for things like your fluid levels and tire pressure, preferably before every trip. It will save you in the long run.
