Earlier this month, the Ford Motor Company Fund reported support for residents of Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands after the recent series of natural disasters that hit the countries.

After Mexico endured two powerful earthquakes in 12 days, the Ford Fund announced contributions of $200,000 to the United Way in Mexico (Fondo Unido Mexico) while also matching employees' donations to the Mexico Earthquake Relief Fund (up to $50,000). The Ford Mexico & Dealers Civic Committee is also providing $200,000 to support United Way Mexico and help rebuild Ford Schools.
Hurricane Maria knocked out power and severely damaged Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands with its Category 4 winds of 155 miles-per-hour. Ford Fund is donating $100,000 U.S. to its nonprofit partners in the area, with Ford region adding an additional $100,000.
Lastly, Ford Fund will keep on matching contributions made to the American Red Cross (up to $300,000) to help recovery efforts for victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. To date, Ford Fund, employee and dealership donations have added up to nearly $1 million.
At Salem Ford, we take pride in being associated with Ford -- an automaker that clearly cares.
